Though The Chubby’s Project is best known for delivering meals, it’s often the friendly face behind the bag that our families most look forward to. Each knock on the door carries with it the care of the hands that sewed the bags and lovingly packed the meals inside.
The Chubby’s Project delivers love.
Since 2020, The Chubby’s Project has delivered love and over 35,000 meals to our friends and neighbors in need. In addition, our hyper-local food pantry that keeps food accessible 24/7 with canned goods, shelf stable foods, and hygiene items.
The Chubby’s Project is small and yet its impact is mighty. A vulnerable family, a child hungry over the weekend, an aging neighbor in need of a friendly face —these are the lives we touch. With the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors, The Chubby’s Project extends a gentle, steady hand to help our neighbors through challenging, often unexpected, times.
Community
The motivation of The Chubby’s Project is to nurture the mind, body and spirit of our community. Our volunteers not only deliver meals to hungry people, but provide conversation and genuine human connection for those we serve. In addition to delivering hot meals, our goal is to understand the unique needs of individuals and families and work together to provide them with the support they may require.
Our goal is a full circle of giving and receiving. Families we support receive fresh locally sourced meals and a friendly, familiar face who checks in several times each week. Neighbors know that if food is in short supply, our 24/7 food pantry is open, stocked and offers a judgement-free way to secure groceries, personal items and more. Volunteers build meaningful relationships with lunch recipients. Donors know that their dollars have a direct, local impact. Customers at the Luncheonette learn about the Chubby’s Project and grow into volunteers or donors. By building these individual connections, our whole community becomes stronger and closer.
